In a glass of its own

This month sees the launch of the new Guinness glass, created by jkr. The new structure overcomes the generic association with the tulip glass, delivering a bespoke solution inspired by the Guinness iconography.

The new embossed glass plays on the equities of the harp which are echoed in its dynamic curves and tactile feel.

J2O goes lighter

20th May

J2O is set to launch White Blend this month: a new range of lighter tasting varieties, designed by jkr. The flavours include White Grape & Kiwi and Red Grape & Blackcurrant, positioned as the perfect food companions. The design builds on the existing equities developed for core J2O while delivering a lighter feel through the use of colour.

Graduate tours and recruitment

22nd March

We hosted one of jkr’s regular all day visits for design students this month. 20 students from 5 colleges came to see us and hopefully be given a little insight into what makes us tick as an agency.

After all, no two design agencies are the same and surely what people are for looking for is the right environment and briefs which will allow them to shine? jkr offer those two things in the world of branded packaging. March is also “Milkround” month at jkr. We had 500 applications for positions in account handling at the agency. We narrowed it down to 80 candidates interviewed, and a further 2 assessment days of 27 candidates to fill our two advertised positions.
