McVitie’s Royal Celebrations

Getting into the swing of the Jubilee celebrations, we are pleased to unveil McVitie’s Diamond Jubilee biscuit tin.

Briefed to create a contemporary piece of memorabilia for the celebrations, we were inspired by the familiar face of HRH the Queen on a stamp. We were very privileged to be given permission to use this image – it’s the first time Royal Mail have allowed it to be used out of context. The result was a design which put HRH the Queen at the heart of the design, providing a modern feel and hopefully creating a collector’s item.

It was a real opportunity for McVitie’s to build on its royal connections. “With a long history of links to royalty that include creating both the Wedding and Diamond Anniversary cakes for Queen Elizabeth II, McVitie’s, as holders of a Royal Warrant, has created this special tin of assorted biscuits to celebrate this momentous British occasion”, Sarah Heynen, Marketing Director of Sweet Biscuits at UBUK.

Appearing in stores now, the new tins are also part of the exhibition at the Museum of Brands’ Jubilee, Jubilee exhibition. Hopefully they will be cropping up at a street party or two as well!

Juniper Sling makes Esquire magazine

We were delighted to see Juniper Sling make the pages of Esquire magazine this month. Launched last year, the gin inspired fragrance made it onto their Trendwatch feature. See the write up below…
